Church Services

Church services long ago were held in the Little Red School House and in later years, at the Community House at 116 E. Main, which today still offers Sunday morning non-denominational services, now in winter as well as summer at 10:30  am.

They also host Episcopal services at 5:30 pm on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. Call Rev. Fred Brown at 758-2790 to confirm.

The oldest of the local purpose-built churches is St. Edwin’s, located in a meadow up Silver Bell Trail. Mass is usually on Saturdays at 6 pm, but may change, so call 586-0470 to confirm.

Faith Mt. Fellowship Church is located near the middle of town on Copper King and River St. behind Bull O’ the Woods. They offer Sunday morning services and children and youth programs. You can verify times by calling their office at 754-6653.

First Baptist Church of Red River is located on the west end of town on High Cost Trail,  just after Red River RV Park on your left if you’re going southwest toward Questa. They offer Sunday morning worship services and Sunday school and well as kids’ programs. Call Pastor Joe at 754-2882 for more info.

Cross Christian Fellowship Standing in the Gap is located in The Way Coffee House in the northwest corner of Lifts West Condominiums lobby. They are non-denominational and generally offer services on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Call Pastor Chris Torres to confirm times.

Medical Services

Red River now has a year-round clinic in Main Street Medical Center at 305 Pioneer Road Suite A. They provide services year round to local residents and tourists and accepts major insurance and medicare. They deal with sick visits, wellness visits, altitude sickness, lacerations, sprains, strains, minor emergency. Labs onsite. Medications onsite. They have regular hours, but are available by appointment after hours as well. Call 575-754-6330.

For more serious injuries requiring x-rays, the ultiMED clinic in the Lift House on Pioneer Road, at the foot of the main ski hill. Note: they are open only during ski season most years.

In a medical emergency please call 911 to bring our excellent EMS staff to your door. Response is quick and personnel are well-trained and professional.
