If you haven't been in Red River lately, you may notice a few changes. New businesses or new faces, Red River may look different but it's still the same.
Enchanted Circle Interpretive Center
Located in downtown Brandenburg Park, the building houses a permanent display extolling the virtues of the Enchanted Circle, an 84-mile ring that passes through some of Northern New Mexico's most spectacular scenery. There is also a large meeting hall for conventions, concerts, tradeshows and exhibitions, as well as smaller conference rooms. The building's architecture was influenced by the large mining structures like the Caribel Mine that was a part of Red River City's early days.
Good Eatin'
Eating in tonight? Brett's Country Grocery is now the official outlet for Brett's Steakhouse products, including deli meats and cheeses, beef, poultry, wild game, seafood, spices and sauces. Restaurant fans will find a new dining experience at The Bistro, open evenings only in the Alpine Restaurant. New management is running Angelina's, and The Tip at the top of the Ski Lift will be open with Carl "Shotgun" Hodges in the kitchen.
New Faces
Bandanna Realty and the Bull O' The Woods have new operators at the helm, and a new Activities Director, Sharon Murphy, will be on hand for the square dance activity at the Red River Community House.
Mountain Treasures Gallery, a fine arts gallery, opened the doors this past winter, while McGinnis & Sons have moved their custom wooden crates and trunks to Texas Reds building.
