



Cheer for the Good GuyDoes Ol’ Man really have a treasure? If so, who will find it first? And do trees really move? It’s all part of the fun at the Mine Shaft Theater as the Red River Inn’s melodrama will hit the boards for the 24th season beginning mid-June and running through mid-August. This year’s show - The Treasure Hunt or Who Will Get There First? - debuted ten years ago with some of the same actresses who will be in the 2006 version. In case you are unfamiliar with “melerdramma,” the Bad Guy gets booed by the audience and the Good Guy gets cheered, while the Heroine gets.... well, the Heroine gets to say the most lines during the show. It’s wholesome fun for the whole family. Tickets are $9.50 for adults, with children 12 and under $6.50. Curtain time is 7:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Candy Crate in the Red River Inn. Bang! You’re Laughin’ The Shoot-out and Bank Robbery at Frye’s Old Town on Main Street has been a Red River tradition since 1961 and is still hilarious fun for everyone. It’s free to the public every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 4 PM. Around The Campfire Located at the top of Bobcat Pass is the unforgettable experience known as Cowboy Evening. Rope a doggie, ride a horse or just enjoy the scenery. Eat delicious cowboy “grub” (steak, chicken, cowboy beans and dutch oven biscuits) and join in a campfire singalong under a billion bright stars in the pitch black sky.
