While youre here, we want you to make yourself at home, and we encourage you to stay as long as you like. Here are a few tidbits of information to make your stay more comfortable.
Got an emergency and need some professional help fast? Pick up a telephone and call 911. Red River emergency services are excellent, from the Marshals Office to Fire, Search and Rescue and ambulance personnel.
Town Hall is located in the heart of town on Main Street, next to the Red River Community House. In addition to housing town governmental offices, the Marshals Office, the Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services and Search and Rescue, the Red River Chamber of Commerce office is located off the lobby and has lodging info, restaurant listings, brochures, special event information, trail maps and forest information available.
If you have need of medical assistance, Mogul Medical offers full clinic service and specializes in the treatment of Altitude Sickness. The clinic is located at the foot of the "Face," in the Lift House building of the Red River Ski Area.
There are two church buildings in Red River. Faith Mountain Fellowship - look for the tall, white steeple on Copper King Trail - is a non-denominational church which conducts a regular schedule of worship services year-round. St. Edwins Catholic Church is located on Silver Bell Trail and also serves as the home of the First Baptist Church of Red River. St. James Episcopal Church of Taos holds services as well in the little log church. During summer months, services are also held on Sunday at the Community House. Check the Bulletin Board in the weekly Red River Miner newspaper for a full schedule of services.
ATM, ATM! In need of a little extra cash? Centinel Bank of Red River is located at the corner of Main Street and Copper King Trail. In addition to full banking service, they have an outdoor ATM machine. ATMs can also be found on Main Street at J. Griffin Co., a gasoline station and convenience store, and at Der Markt, Red Rivers grocery store.
Park your car and leave it. Ride the Red River Trolley, a great way to get around town and see the sights at the same time. Its fun and theres no charge.
Like to play the radio? Listen to Red River Radio KRDR-FM (90.1) for a variety of music, while KKIT-FM (99.1) programs country.
