You can't miss it: Town Hall is located on Main Street in the heart of town. There's a big sign out front and a bunch of flagpoles with Old Glory waving proudly in the mountain breeze. There you will find the business offices for the Town of Red River and a new branch of the New Mexico Motor Vehicle Department. The building also houses Emergency Services - Dispatch, Police, Fire, EMT and ambulance service, Search and Rescue, and public restrooms for the most common tourist emergency. Look for the signs. Town Hall also currently houses the office of the Red River Chamber of Commerce which provides a variety of visitor information about local businesses and services, the surrounding Kit Carson Forest, and area sights and attractions. Maps, brochures, magazines and guides like the COC Visitor's Guide and Red River Miner Winter Guide are also available. They can answer any questions you may have about special events throughout the year. (Ask them about Mardi Gras in the Mountains.) Located across the street from Town Hall is Brandenburg Park and the Red River Conference Center. The RRCC is the site of concerts, conventions, conferences, workshops and community social events. It also houses the Office of Economic Development and the Enchanted Circle Interpretive Center which highlights the attractions and activities around "the Circle." It also features the ever popular public restrooms. |
