The Red River Ski Area has a variety of services to help make your Alpine skiing experience enjoyable and memorable. A number of ski packages are available to fit your needs.
The Chalet (Located at the foot of "the Bump")
Buy lift tickets, rent skis, poles and boots, make arrangements to take skiing lessons from the pros, have lunch or a snack in the cafeteria, or pick up lip balm, sun tan lotion and ski accessories at the Fanny Pack.
You can also stop by the Southern Exposure photo booth and pick up a picture to prove to the folks back home that you really did go skiing on your vacation. "Really, that's me in the hat with the fuzzy spikes on it!"
If tubing sounds like fun, rent a giant tube at the Chalet office and whiz down the hill after the ski area closes at 4 o'clock.
Got wee ones? Buckaroo Child Care is available for ages 6 months to 4 years. Hours are 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Call for reservations to insure space availability.
Ski School
Since opening the doors in 1959, the Red River Ski Area has earned a reputation as a great place to learn skiing. Group lessons from top-notch, certified instructors are popular and affordable, while private lessons with individual instructors are an option for novice, intermediate or expert skiers of all ages.
Youth Ski and Ride Club packages are available for skiers aged 4 thru 10. Snowboard instructions are offered too, but require a minimum age of 8 years.
Après Ski
The Lift House Bar & Grill is located at the base of "The Face" and is a great place to rest, grab a snack or warm up with a selection from the full bar.
