Some Ski Area Faces

Home History Red River Ski Area Snowmaking Ski Area Faces Cross Country Skiing      People. It's always the people you meet that make the difference.
Here are some people you might meet at the Chalet, people who enjoy what they do and enjoy seeing you have a good time while you're at the Red River Ski Area.

Ron Weathers

For Ron Weathers (above far left), photography is more than a job: it's a life-long passion and a avenue for artistic expression. Working for Southern Exposure at the photo booth in the Chalet for the past 10 years, Ron is not only an expert with a camera - his work is available around town and the Enchanted Circle - but has mastered the modern high-speed "darkroom" technology which requires skill and knowledge of sophisticated - and expensive - processing equipment.
Ron lives in Red River year-round with his wife, Lisa, and 2-year-old daughter Michaela.

Jessica Martin

Don't be surprised if you see Jessica Martin (2nd from left) selling lift tickets, answering the phone in the RRSA office, managing the Fanny Pack gift shop or.... well, you just might see her anywhere, doing whatever needs to be done. That's just the way she is and she does it all with a smile. She likes people and she enjoys working at RRSA.

Patter Swain

When you enter the office in the basement of the Chalet, you have entered the Realm of Patterdom. Patter Swain (2nd from right) has the answers to your questions or will know who to call to get the answer. Your might say she runs the "anchor leg" of the Ski Area team.
Beware: she has a warped sense of humor and doesn't hesitate for one minute to use it, whether you're prepared or not.

Carl Hodges

When Carl Hodges (above, far right) retired from the mortuary business in Texas and moved to Red River, he thought he was retiring to a quiet life. He bought a little burger joint which "took off like a rocket," so he sold it and retired again. So what's he doing managing food concessions at RRSA? He's doing what he likes to do: visit with people and have fun.
Oh, he's also a genuine auctioneer. (So much for retiring.)
