RED RIVER SKI SCHOOL: THE WAY TO GO From the very beginning forty-five years ago, the Red River Ski Area has been known as a great place to learn the art of Alpine (Downhill) Skiing. The key has always been top-notch accredited instructors who specialize in streamlined, efficient methods. The RRSA has a variety of programs with all ages and all levels of expertise in mind. Kids in particular come in for special attention. YOUTH SKI CENTER (FOR AGES 4 TO 10 YEARS OLD) Kids have their very own lodge at Red River, a place where parents can feel comfortable about leaving their children while they ski. Professional staff members utilize innovative teaching methods and creative activities that help students be able to participate in the joys of skiing. Children 4-5 years old participate in ski lessons and indoor activities that introduce them to equipment and skiing fundamentals. Children ages 6-10 are grouped in personal classes according to age and ability. To enroll your children for a day of fun and learning, complete the registration forms at the lower level of the Ski Chalet and check out rental equipment from the Rental Shop. Then proceed across the breezeway to the Youth Ski Center prior to 9:30 for morning or all-day sessions or prior to 1:30 for the afternoon session. Private lessons may be arranged through the Ski School for children under 4 years. KIDS SKI FREE/STAY FREE PACKAGE Three nights lodging, three day Snow Passes. Free. How does that sound? It's called Kids Ski Free/Stay Free and here's how it works. For each paying parent who stays at participating Red River lodges for a minimum of three nights and purchases at least a three day Snow Pass, one child (12 years and younger) stays for free and receives a Snow Pass for the same number of days (Limit: one per parent). There is a "blackout period:" December 24th - January 4th, and March 6th - March 21st BUCKAROO CHILD CARE Kids too small to ski? RRSA has daycare!
