![]() If you can walk, you can snowshoe. Simple, but true. It hasn't always been so, however, for there was a time not so long ago that snowshoes required special techniques. The shoes were bigger, heavier and a wee bit awkward until you became accustomed to them. Modern technology has resulted in smaller, lightweight shoes which are much more user-friendly than in days of yore. Because of its groomed trails and the availability of a warming hut, outhouses and ski patrol, many people opt to use Enchanted Forest's trails for snowshoeing. Trail passes are the same as cross country skiing. There's 15km of exclusive snowshoeing trails, almost half of the EF's 30-plus kilometers of cross country ski trails. Enchanted Forest also has an area especially for your four-footed friends. There are 5K+ of trails, smooth groomed for easier skiing and varying from 6 to 12 feet open to both skiers and snowshoers with their pet pals. Doggie waste bags are provided. Use them. Leashes are required in the parking area and dogs must be in at least voice command on the dog trails; otherwise, use a leash. |
