It Is Truly the Flower of Life

Kenneth Wyatt Painting Art includes everything that stimulates the desire to live; science, everything that sharpens the desire to know. Art, even the most disinterested, the most disembodied, is the auxiliary of life. Born of the sensibility, it sows and creates it in its turn. It is the flower of life and, as seed, it gives back life.
Rémy De Gourmont
French critic, novelist.
From Promenades

Red River Gallery of Fine Art located on Pioneer Road (road to the Ski Area) is the town's most well-established gallery. A wide variety of work by internationally recognized artist Kenneth Wyatt, his wife,Veda, and their daughter, Jill Wyatt Marshall are on display. This talented and dedicated family has filled the gallery with painting, prints, sculpture, jewelry and art designed to delight the senses and uplift the soul.

While Kenneth is best known for his vignettes of contemporary Western life in America, his portraits of the Twelve Apostles have gained international acclaim for their celebration of human dignity - frailty and strength - portrayed in the faces of the true followers of The Christ.

Mt. Treasures Gallery Mountain Treasures at 212 W. Main is owned by Paula and Ben Richey and features the work of artists of the great Southwest. (That includes Texas!) Fine paintings and prints, pottery, stained and fused glass, hand-crafted jewelry and marble sculpture adorn the two-story gallery.

Browsers (and buyers) can relax and enjoy a cappuccino at The Gallery Coffee Bar, which was added during the off-season. In addition to great java, there's sodas, tea and baked delights.
