Visit Our Mardi Gras in the Mountains

Ed Iver Dog Sled Float

Purple, Green & Gold Chase the Blues Away

The official colors of Mardi Gras are Purple, Green and Gold, each with its own symbolic significance. Unfortunately - or fortunately, depending on your outlook on life - the exact reason that these are "official" colors is clouded in mystery, much as the true origins of Mardi Gras. All that really matters is that the trio of colors will be everywhere during the celebration, as will any other colors that inspire the spirit of fun in the human soul.

Mardi Gras is a participatory spectacle. Don't stand on the edge of the crowd and watch. Join the crowd and enjoy the celebration of living. Life is short. Laissez les Bontemps Rouler!

Here is a little calendar of future Mardi Gras dates that can come in handy when planning future visits to Red River's Mardi Gras in the Mountains:

2004 - February 24
2005 - February  8
2006 - February 28
