If you have never seen an NCAA ski race, you are in for a treat! The University of New Mexico Ski Team will be in town on several occasions this year, training, working out and participating in the 30th Annual Race & Skills Camp at the Red River Ski & Summer Area.
The big event, though, is the annual Jade Enterprises New Mexico Invitational set for the weekend of February 20-21, in Red River. The race will be the final event before the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association (RMISA) Championships.
The Slalom races will be at the RRSA and the Nordic competitions will be contested at the Enchanted Forest.
The event gives spectators the chance to see world-class athletes in action. The UNM Lobos are former National Champions, the only New Mexico team to score a National title!
