All Who Wander, Inc is opening Taos Mountain Outfitters – Red River. It will be located at 121 E. Main Street. According to Bill Gaydosh, President, former Red River Marshal David Smith will manage the shop.
Taos Mountain Outfitters has been headquartered in Taos for 51 years. It was purchased 4+ years ago by AWW, Gaydosh said in a telephone interview.
Product lines will include Patagonia, Columbia, Mountain Hardware and Kühl, footwear by Oboz, Keen and Bedrock Sandals, as well as gear by Cotopaxi, Osprey and Nemo.
Gaydosh, who grew up in Wichita Falls, TX, is excited about opening the sports apparel and accessory store in Red River. The store joins the TMO shop, which is located in the historic El Mercado building on Taos Plaza, and the TMO shop that opened last June in Canyon, TX.
“We’ve got such a great following here in Taos and in Canyon. A lot of the people who live in the Panhandle are making their way here. One thing we’re doing… if somebody comes into my Taos store and they’re from Canyon, TX, I’ll give them the local discount. Same thing in Red River.
“We’ll give the locals 10% off of regular prices on merchandise, 365 days a year. If somebody from Canyon shows up in Red River, we’ll give them the local discount. If somebody comes from Red River to Taos, they’ll get the local discount!”
