Beau McDowell has been a realtor in Red River at Calhoun Realty for the past 10 years, selling homes, townhouses and cabins. He enjoys the work and especially the people he meets.
He recently left Calhoun and joined forces with Haydon Outdoors, a well-known company specializing in farm, ranch and recreational real estate across the Great Plains and the Rocky Mountains. They operate in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Utah and now New Mexico.
After all, Beau is THE Haydon Outdoors agent in the entire state of New Mexico and he wants his friends and clients to know that Red River is still home base – “I have not moved away and I don’t plan on doing so!”
His office is located at Road Runner RV Resort on East Main, which is also NM Highway 578. The building also serves as home for the McDowell family.
“Recreational property means Red River – any property that has water, hunting, access to trails, access to National Forest (land), land for true outdoor recreation,” McDowell said.
Beau grew up on the Seneca Creek Land & Cattle Company, the family ranch north of Clayton NM, and he knows the dynamics of ranch living as well as recreational mountain property demands.
