Located next door to Der Market, the Pit Stop and Go-Kart Track, formerly known as Go Kart City, changed hands in June of 2017. Built in 1970, the complex is currently operated by Nate Lyles.
The Pit Stop offers a variety of “carnival food,” with the key word being deep-fried delights such as fried pickles and their universally famous Funnel Cake, their signature dish and a Red River favorite.
The kart track has new machines for summer 2018.
Nate grew up in Red River, attending Cimarron High School before graduating from Moreno Valley Charter School. An avid skiing enthusiast, he spent 12 years in Crested Butte CO before returning home last year.
