New Faces at T-Buck’s

T-Bucks

T-Bucks, formerly T-Bucks Hole Thing Donut Shop, 601 West Main, is now in the hands of Amarillo natives Constance and Dylan Greene – no relation to the Weezie Greens – who took over the restaurant in mid-December. Breakfast and donut hours are 7-11 am, seven days a week during season, with a lunch menu on weekends and holidays from 11-2 pm. They have indoor seating, as well as on the outdoor deck.

Aware of the growing number of people with food allergies, they do not carry nut products or anything that is derived from peanuts, sesame seeds, coconuts and tree nut oils or by-products. They will be offering a special treat, however, with ice cream donut cones and ice cream on donuts.

“It’s a family restaurant: our children like to help out. Our oldest will be out front greeting and visiting with diners, cleaning and bussing if need be.”

It was in August 2017 that the Greenes visited Red River, stayed at River Ranch RV, and decided to eat at the restaurant for the first time. Restaurant owner Theresa Buck “sat down and talked with the kids and talked with us and said ‘You need to buy my restaurant!’ I laughed and said ‘We can’t afford to buy your restaurant.’ But she said ‘Think about it: we can make it work!’” The rest is history!
